|Canada and Ukraine is the largest producer of high-quality milling wheat’s in the world, the bulk of which is exported. Originating, positioning, shipping and exporting high quality, and accordingly, premium price wheat’s, in an international trade dominated ‘run of the mill’ low quality, cheaper wheat’s is no easy task.
CT International specialty and activities are centered within the two major types of wheat produced – Canadian spring and winter milling bread wheat’s, and in Durum wheat, used in the manufacture of pasta products. The two major wheat types are each sub-divided into several different grades and classes, with specific quality and milling factors – test weight, protein, Hag berg, gluten content etc. Canadian wheat is often used by the milling industry in a blend with other origin, lower quality wheat’s, which provides a very uniform, consistent strength, and quality of flour produced.
